Azana ( Azana?) works at the Research Tower and is Akari's assistant.

AppearanceEdit

Azana has long gray hair in a high ponytail with chin-length bangs parted in the middle and blue eyes. His skin is slightly darker than most of the other characters, and contrasts with his hair. He wears a green jacket with orange designs and a blue shirt. He also wears tan slacks tucked into high, black boots. He is often shown with band-aids, the handiwork of a rabbit that hates everyone besides his superior, Akari, who it adores.

PersonalityEdit

He enjoys his work well, but is worried that he might be useless, due to the marks all over his face from handling a bunny. He looks up to Akari, who he thinks is impossibly perfect. Due to Akari, it seems that he suffers from an inferiority complex. Upset and fearful of his uselessness, he begins to become paranoid and decides to switch sides, secretly sabotaging and helping Kafka. He becomes convinced that Circus is the losing side, and that he should defect to save himself. After failure to get Akari to switch as well, he is once again reminded of how perfect Akari is because he wanted to help innocent people and didn't want to go to Kafka, and Azana tried to kill him. It would seem that his severe inferiority complex drives him to do desperate things.

RelationshipsEdit

AkariEdit

Akari took care of Azana ever since Azana lost his family. Akari became his guardian, and eventually, his superior. After witnessing Akari's perfection and professionalism for years, it's stimulating his inferiority complex and Azana began to become upset with himself. When even a rabbit preferred Akari to him, his inferior feeling become worse. He even stated "why such a perfect person should exist", when he attempted to kill Akari with a hypodermic needle (in the manga), and a gun (in the anime- episode 13).

UroEdit

Azana met Uro and began to help him sabotage Circus. Azana was "stolen" from Akari and now works with Uro.

HistoryEdit

Akari Saves Azana

Akari and Azana meet

Azana's entire family died because of varuga. Akari cared for Azana ever since, and Azana became knowledgeable in the medical field.[1] However, with Akari as his guardian, mentor, and superior, as well as his no-nonsense attitude and professionalism, it seems that Azana developed an inferiority complex. This complex spread from Akari to Kafka, because Circus could never find evidence against Kafka. He then came into contact with Uro, and assisted him in getting Murano to turn his beloved cow, Kiripon, into a post-animal. Unsuccessful in convincing Akari to join Kafka, Azana attempted to murder Akari, but was stopped by Hirato. Azana escaped and joined Kafka.
